Queens Center, a leading shopping center in Elmhurst, New York, operated by Macerich, has announced the addition of five new retail stores, including Gap, Primark, and H&M.
Leading retailers Gap, Warby Parker, and Kiko Milano recently opened locations at the shopping center, while fashion brands Primark and H&M are set to open stores by the end of the year in time for the holiday season.
The new store openings come after Queens Center marked its 50th-anniversary last year and see the center reach full lease capacity. “The addition of these national brands, combined with the current strong performance of tenants, sets the shopping center apart from other centers in the market," said Richard Madramuthu, vice president of leasing at Macerich, in a statement.
"The shopping center’s goal has always been and continues to be to connect with the community and create a space that welcomes and engages with our shoppers. The addition of these five brands will offer local shoppers and tourists a valuable experience where all of their favorite stores can be found under one roof.”
The store openings follow Zara's opening a store just ahead of the 2023 holiday season and Burlington's aiming to open a new store in the shopping center by the beginning of the 2024 holiday season.
The Queens Center is one of four New York retail centers Macerich owns, including The Shops at Atlas Park, Green Acres, and Kings Plaza.
