Queens Center, a shopping mall located in Elmhurst, New York, has announced the opening of four new retailers as it bolsters its retail offerings to attract younger shoppers and expand its lifestyle mix.
Pacsun, A|X Armani Exchange, True Religion, and Dossier have all opened retail locations in the mall as Queens Center continues to evolve and strengthen its store selection to appeal to Gen Z shoppers.
With the first three retailers opening in August and the latter in late September, the openings also mark the retailers’ only retail presence in Queens, further solidifying the shopping center’s unique offering of brands.
“Macerich remains committed to investing in our portfolio and delivering a dynamic, elevated shopping experience,” said Jamie Bourbeau, Senior Vice President, Leasing, at Macerich, the owner, operator, and developer of high-quality retail real estate, including Queens Center, in a statement.
“Queens Center has always been dedicated to connecting with the community and creating a welcoming space for all. The addition of these new retailers will further enhance the center by bringing a refreshed, vibrant environment that meets visitors’ evolving needs.”
The new openings come as Queens Center recently welcomed retailers San Wei, Psycho Bunny, Digiso, Primark, and H&M to its offering. The steady stream of openings further solidifies the shopping mall’s reputation as a leading retail hub in the area.
Attracting Gen Z has been a major goal for Queens Center. The mall carefully selects retailers and experiences that appeal to younger shoppers’ preferences and values. By staying current with trends, Queens Center brings in customers eager to see viral products in real life.
Macerich owns Queens Center along with two other New York malls, Green Acres and Kings Plaza.
