Venice-based fashion brand Resa has opened its debut brick-and-mortar flagship store at 1612 Abbot Kinney, in Venice Beach, California.
Originally founded by former New York fashion editor Suzanne Marchese, in 2015, the opening of the brand’s first physical store opened in 2015, coinciding with its 10-year anniversary this year.
The new store features the brand’s full collection of women’s wear in addition to a curated vintage collection hand-selected by Marchese. The vintage offering will be available only in-store, honoring the brand’s origins in Venice.
“Opening a store on Abbot Kinney, in the very town I first landed in after moving from New York, feels truly surreal," said Marchese to FashionUnited. "I’m most excited to connect directly with our customers and bring the Resa experience to life, where they can see, feel, and try on our signature fabrics and silhouettes in person. What makes this space even more special is the addition of a curated selection of vintage pieces, handpicked with the Resa woman in mind.”
The space will also serve as a community hub for customers and will host monthly events to bring women together and connect them. Resa is best known for its timeless silhouettes, thoughtful prints, and feminine designs, inspired by ’70s ease and California cool.
Producing the majority of its collections locally in downtown LA, the brand remains committed to supporting local workers, fair pricing, and sustainable production wherever possible. Resa also introduces limited quantities weekly to minimize waste and environmental impact.
