Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo is set to open its latest US retail location at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California, on Friday, December 5.
The new store will feature Uniqlo’s customer experience, offering its full LifeWear lineup for men, women, and kids. It will also offer Uniqlo’s in-store clothing collection program, Re: Uniqlo, which sees the retailer collect used Uniqlo clothes from its customers and donate them to people experiencing homelessness in the community. All clothing collected from the Uniqlo Santa Monica store will be donated to the Los Angeles Mission.
In addition, the Santa Monica store will also offer exclusive UTme! Designs by artists Carl Jones, Lauren Martin, Juliet Johnstone, Rakeem Miles, and Tristan Eaton will be available only at that location.
The new store will be the only Uniqlo store in Los Angeles with UTme! custom printing, allowing customers to bring their own designs to life. Customers will also enjoy early access to the NEW Yu Nagaba UT collection.
In order to mark the occasion, Uniqlo will be hosting a full weekend of events for its community from December 5 to 7, which includes limited offers, special gifts for consumers, free giveaways, and other experiences. Celebrating the opening, a traditional Japanese Taiko drum performance will take place at 9.50 am on December 5 before the doors officially open at 10 am.
Other grand opening events include special promotions on selected items, like the Uniqlo U Crew Neck T-Shirt, Flannel Shirt, Uniqlo : C Sweat Oversized Pullover Hoodie and Wide Sweatpants, Pufftech Jackets, Straight Jeans, and Kid’s Fluffy Yarn Fleece Full-Zip Jackets. During the three-day Grand Opening celebration, the first 250 guests to arrive each day will take home a complimentary Uniqlo knot bag, along with an ITO EN Black Milk tea and a freshly baked treat.
Additionally, the first 250 shoppers who spend 99 US dollars or more in-store throughout the Grand Opening weekend will receive a special gift: a hand-poured RXLA 10 oz candle featuring an exclusive scent created specifically for the Uniqlo x Santa Monica collaboration. The latest store opening is in line with Uniqlo's wider US retail strategy, which sees the retailer opening 11 new stores across 2026.
